THE
SCHOOL: The XXXIV Zakopane School of Physics is organized by the Marian
Smoluchowski Institute
of Physics of the Jagiellonian
University and the H.
Niewodniczański Institute
of Nuclear Physics in Cracow.
This conference, for historical reasons called School ,will be held in
Zakopane, a center
of tourism in the Tatra
mountains, from May 9 (Sunday ) to May 15 (Saturday ), 1999.
The language of the School is English.
The conference has
a long tradition: it has been organised since 1963. The current
School is on the list of conferences organised to commemorate the 600-th
Anniversary of Renewal of the Cracow Academy (former name of the Jagiellonian
University).
